CreativitySchool uniforms take away children's creativity. Most people express they're personality by the clothes they wear. It allows children to be creative, but when they are forced to wear uniforms they don't have the ability to do that. 62% of people are against wearing school uniforms and 38% of people think that school uniforms are a good idea. Of the 38% of people who agree with school uniforms, there reasoning was that it is easier in the morning to already know what you're going to wear. Others that are against school uniforms agree that it takes away children's creativity,

Self ConciousSchool uniforms can also make a child feel extremely self conscious. If a child is forced to wear something that they don't think they look good in, that is a big problem. A child school never have to wear something they don't feel comfortable in. Nobody should. This could lead to body image issues. Nobody should have to wake up every morning and put on the same outfit everyday if they don't like it.
I bet you're thinking that school uniforms have some good qualities. You may be thinking that kids won't be bullied about what they wear, but that's not necessarily true. Bullies will find a reason to pick on a child. They could make fun of what they look like in the uniform, how they wore the uniform, or anything else. Also you may be thinking that it is a good idea to wear a uniform because now girls and boys can't wear inappropriate clothing to school. A simple solution to that is to have a dress code. It allows children to wear what they want with only a few restrictions. A dress code is much better than a uniform in my opinion.

SpecialSchool uniforms can also make a child not feel special. Kids, children, and teens need to feel special. If they look the same as everyone else every single day, they're not going to feel special. Every night I look forward to picking out my outfit for the next morning. Many people express themselves by the clothes they wear!

What if? |
What if your child wants to be a fashion designer? What if they like expressing themselves in their clothes? What if they don't like how they look in a uniform? What if they are uncomfortable wearing a uniform? There are so ,any more questions you could ask, but there is only one answer. The answer is to get rid of school uniforms.
My final thought has to do with when the kids and teens who grew up wearing uniforms. If a child grows up wearing the same outfit to school for 12 years, how will they learn to be independent? The amount of cons out number the pros with school uniforms. That is why I believe that school uniforms are a bad idea and should not be worn!
